Posh Party at Doxford Hall

11th January 2015

Northumberland Gazette report:

Children at Ellingham Cof E First School were treated to a silver-service spread at the four-star Doxford Hall Hotel during the last week of term.

Sixty children enjoyed a Christmas tea including jelly and ice cream and a visit from Santa Claus.

The hotel, owned by Robert and Gina Parker, has invited the local schoolchildren in for a Christmas party for several years.

Diane Lakey, Ellingham’s headteacher, said: “The children hugely look forward to their deluxe Christmas party. It is a lovely way to round off a hectic term and get the children ready for the Christmas holiday. The waiter service and the glorious surroundings make it an occasion to remember.”
